Calumet County Arrest History
Calumet County arrests may begin with the Sheriff, Appleton, Brillion, Chilton, Kiel, Menasha, or New Holstein police, Wisconsin DNR, or State Patrol. The creating agency keeps its own incident or arrest report. Sheriff Records is not a countywide warehouse for city-police files. If Appleton Police made the arrest, for example, the report stays with Appleton even when the event occurred in the Calumet County part of the city.
When a person enters the Calumet County Correctional Facility, the jail creates an intake and booking record. Fingerprints may be sent into Wisconsin's criminal-identification system. The District Attorney then reviews the referral and decides whether to file charges. Only a filed case becomes a Circuit Court docket. These records form a chain, but they are not interchangeable. Arrest-time allegations can be amended, declined, dismissed, or resolved on facts that the first booking row cannot show.
Calumet Seven-Day Arrest Report
The official Calumet County seven-day Booking Report is a generated PDF. It lists recent intake and release rows using inmate ID, name, sex, race, booking time, release time, and city or state. It does not display charges, bond, arresting agency, court dates, or a booking photo. The PDF is useful for confirming a recent Calumet County custody event, but its short window makes it a poor substitute for arrest history.
A missing row has several possible explanations. The booking may be older than seven days, the person may have entered a different county's jail, the name may be spelled differently, or no jail intake may have occurred. Disappearance after release says nothing about whether prosecutors filed a case. Searchers should keep the date and inmate ID when available, then move to the arresting agency and WCCA for the next parts of the record.
Looking Up Calumet County Arrests
The best path depends on timing. Recent custody belongs in the county PDFs. The narrative belongs with the arresting agency. Filed charges belong in the court docket, and a statewide repository response comes from Wisconsin DOJ. Use the following channels in order, changing course when the event involved a city department or another county.
- Check the seven-day Booking Report for a recent intake and the Current Inmate List for custody that may still be active.
- Identify the arresting agency, then request its incident or arrest report. For a deputy-written event, contact Calumet County Sheriff Records.
- Search WCCA with a Calumet County filter after the District Attorney may have filed charges. Read each charge's disposition.
- Use WORCS for the paid Wisconsin Crime Information Bureau name-based product, understanding that it is not the local police narrative.
- If an online source fails, call the jail or agency, visit its counter, or submit a specific Wisconsin Public Records Law request by email, fax, mail, or in person.
Save the report number, booking ID, date, location, and exact name from one official source before searching the next. Those shared identifiers reduce false matches and help staff locate a Calumet County arrest record.
Who Holds Calumet Arrest Reports
Start with the agency whose officer created the report. Calumet County Sheriff Records handles deputy-written matters at 206 Court Street and 920-849-1436. Appleton Police uses 222 South Walnut Street and 920-832-5500. Brillion Police is at 130 Calumet Street, 920-756-2221, while Chilton Police is at 42 School Street, 920-849-4855. Kiel, Menasha, and New Holstein each keep their own police files as well. State Patrol and DNR incidents follow the responsible state agency's official records channel.
A strong free-form Sheriff request states that it is made under Wisconsin Public Records Law and gives the case number if known, names, date and time range, precise place, record type, and desired format. Specify whether audio, video, photos, CAD, 911, or booking material is sought. Email delivery has no published copy charge. Other Sheriff fees include black-and-white pages at $0.15, color pages at $0.25, and actual mailing cost. Prepayment may be required above $5, while qualifying location cost applies only when the actual necessary direct cost reaches $50.

Inside a Calumet County Arrest Record
There is no single Calumet County arrest screen with every desired field. The recent Booking Report and Current Inmate List expose different columns, and the agency report supplies the event narrative. The current list refreshes every 15 minutes and can show a scheduled release and custody class. Neither public PDF shows charges or bond, so readers must not fill those gaps with assumptions.
| Inmate identifier | The county's booking or inmate number used to distinguish one custody record. |
|---|---|
| Booking date and time | The recorded intake time for the Calumet County custody event. |
| Release information | Release time on the seven-day report or scheduled release on the current list, subject to change. |
| Demographics | Name, date of birth on the current list, sex, and race as displayed by the county report. |
| Custody class | Current-list codes include MIN, MED, MAX, and GPS; ask the jail before interpreting a code. |
| Charges and bond | Not included in the public booking PDFs; check the incident record, jail, and filed court case. |
| Booking photo | Not included in either official Calumet County public PDF. |
The incident report may add officer observations, alleged facts, witnesses, evidence, and arrest-time charges. Release can require redaction of protected data, and an active investigation may limit what is supplied.
Calumet Custody After Booking
The Current Inmate List answers whether someone appears in county custody now. It is distinct from the seven-day booking report. The current roster refreshes often and lists inmate number, name, date of birth, sex, race, booking date and time, scheduled release, and class. For time-sensitive confirmation or instructions, call the Calumet County Correctional Facility at 920-849-1447. Errors in the generated reports can be sent to JailReports@CalumetCounty.org.
Transfers create another boundary. A state-sentenced person may leave the county roster and appear in the Wisconsin DOC Person in Our Care or Client Search. County custody notifications may be available through VINE, while DOC NOTIS provides eligible victim notices for state custody, supervision, and registry events. Federal imprisonment belongs in the Bureau of Prisons locator. A person vanishing from one list can reflect release or transfer, so check the layer that matches the current legal custody.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
The Calumet County booking log reports only a seven-day slice. Use a PDF viewer's find tool and exact spelling because there is no database search form. The current-inmate PDF answers a separate question and can retain a person after the booking row ages off. Neither report should be described as a gallery or a list of guilty people. Both are official custody tools with narrow fields and narrow time frames.
After the seven-day window, request the booking or incident record from the proper custodian and search WCCA for a filed case. If no public court result appears, possible reasons include no filing, another county, spelling, a confidential matter, or a delay between referral and docket entry. WORCS can add a statewide CIB search, but a fingerprint-supported repository cycle may still lag or omit an event for which usable prints were not submitted. Each absence is limited to that product.
Calumet Arrest to Court Timeline
A local arrest can create five separate records in sequence: the agency report, jail booking, fingerprint submission, District Attorney referral, and Circuit Court case if charges are filed. The District Attorney reviews reports from the Sheriff, local police, DNR, and State Patrol. The clerk does not create the prosecution until a charge reaches court. That is why booking allegations and filed counts may not match.
Record flow: Arresting Agency › Calumet Booking › Fingerprint Report › District Attorney Review › Circuit Court Filing › Disposition
When a filed outcome matters, record the booking date and then open the exact Calumet County criminal court case. Read every count, event, and judgment rather than treating the first charge description as final. If the docket is not yet public, keep the agency identifiers and ask the clerk about the filing status instead of treating silence as a dismissal.
Calumet Arrests and State Supervision
Wisconsin supervision is state-run. The Division of Community Corrections manages probation, parole, and extended supervision rather than a Calumet County probation department.
The DOC locator may show a public custody or community-supervision status after sentencing, but it does not replace the arrest report, booking record, or court judgment.
A probation or supervision hold can affect custody, yet detailed case plans, agent notes, treatment information, and other protected material are not a public person-search product. Use WCCA for the imposed sentence and the DOC locator for the public state-status layer. Contact the relevant office only for information that may lawfully be released.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
An arrest reflects an officer's legal action and alleged facts at one point in time. A conviction requires a guilty plea or verdict followed by judgment in court. Between those stages, the prosecutor can decline a referral, amend the theory, or dismiss a count. A trial can end in acquittal. Calumet County records should therefore be described by source and date rather than collapsed into a single label.
| Point | Arrest record | Conviction record |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Arresting agency and jail | Wisconsin Circuit Court |
| Meaning | An arrest or booking occurred | The court entered a finding of guilt |
| Official source | Agency report and Calumet booking files | Clerk case file and judgment |
| Possible next step | Release, no filing, filing, or transfer | Sentence, postconviction review, or appeal |
Note: A Calumet County arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking may never lead to a filed criminal charge.
